Qatar Postal Services Company is the national provider of postal services across Qatar. With a network of more than 30 branches nationwide, Qatar Post carries out domestic and international operations, ranging from traditional to e-Government postal services. The Post Office opened in Qatar in 1950, followed by full ownership by the State of in May 1963. The General Post Office (GPO) became an independent corporation in October 2001 and has grown exponentially since then.Qatar Post is currently embarking on a comprehensive transformation process aimed at streamlining its operation and embracing the digital age.
Being a service provider, the Qatar Postal Services Company provides tremendous services to the public, so investment of such a splendid building which was equipped with the most modern equipment and instrumentation so as to perform its tasks perfectly.
The building was a noble dream of Qatar Post founder, the late Mr. Mohammed Bin Saif Al-Moadhadi and it lived in his mind until his dream came true. The building was inaugurated in 1988. The structure is far larger than it appears from outside. there are five floors in the building covering a total floor area of 33,540 sq. m. it is located in West Bay along Doha Corniche where some government departments and establishments are also located.
The main head office is equipped with 25,000 fully computerized electronic PO boxes. Box numbers range: 1 - 25000.
Access to PO Boxes is open daily for customers from 06:00 to 21:00
